I'm on "Big Al" Schrieter's email list, and there are some days I really like it, and some days not so much. For the most part,l I usually find something worth keeping, and I put it into my "mlm" folder. Today, he wrote something I REALLY liked, and I want to pass it on:

"Are you a walking "bad advertisement" for your business?

"Every day the ant works all day. Every hour the ant is busy. And in the end what happens?"

"Someone steps on him."

Many network marketers work their business every free hour they have. Weeknights, weekends, holidays, family reunions, wedding receptions, every event is an opportunity to pass out business cards, catalogs, brochures, audios and . . .

What's happening?

These network marketers are working all day, just like the ant. They are so busy with activities, they fail to see the big picture or real goal. We just hope these networkers don't get stepped on like the ant.

Here is a point of view that networkers should consider:

1. If you spend all your free time building your business, what is your prospect going to see? Your prospect will avoid joining your business because he doesn't want to spend every waking hour networking.

2. If you advertise how network marketing gives you time and money freedom, yet you work your business every waking hour, doesn't something feel wrong with this picture?

3. And what about all this activity? Networking should be simple. If all we have to do is sponsor a few people and build them into leaders, then what's all this other activity about?

4. Would a balanced, happy life attract more prospects?

We are living advertisements for network marketing. We should be careful what our advertising says.

What does your advertising say? "

BOOM. I was taught to work my business ALL THE TIME, and right now, as I'm working for someone else, it makes me a great worker and a great example in the company- but it certainly doesn't make me a good example for the networker lifestyle.

But think about this- If you DID work your business all the time, I'll bet your sponsor would be happy about it- They might even reward you for it, but remember this- Your sponsor does NOT care about your life success- just your MLM business' success.

I am going to try to remember to be the example of FUN I want to be in my businesses from now on!

George and Runner the painting, talking horse

Once upon a time, there was a man named George who wanted to race horses, win a lot of trophies, and make a lot of money.

George went out and found the world's fastest horse, Runner. George watched him win a few races, made a big investment, and bought him so he could win races.

George was very excited about his champion racing horse, and really looked forward to watching him cross the finish line. George bought a stable right by the racetrack, and brushed his horse everyday as he thought about the wonderful future that was ahead for the two of them.

Runner was really excited too, because Runner loved to race. He trained all the time, ate well, and even read books on racing (he was a very smart horse). Runner dreamed of racing, and thought everything else was a waste of time.

George wanted Runner to look good when he was racing, so instead of taking him to the races, he thought he'd go get Runner's hooves cleaned. Runner wanted to be running, but he figured he should do what George said- besides, his hooves really did look better.

The next day, there was a big race, but George wanted Runner to learn to paint a fence with his tail. It might not make any sense to you, but George thought that more people would come to see Runner run races if he could also paint a fence. For a week, Runner was in painting school; at the end, he had a white fence.

"What a great fence!" George said.

Runner (a VERY smart horse) spoke to George, and said "I would love to run a race tomorrow, do you think I could do that now that I am done painting?" George was surprised his horse was so smart he could talk, and he got another idea.

George got a truck and put Runner on display with a big sign that said "See Runner, the talking horse at the races this weekend!".

Well, Runner really didn't like to drive around in the truck all week because he wanted to be racing, but he figured he'd better do what George said because otherwise he was never going to get to race anymore. Besides, he knew that the sign said he'd get to race on the weekend!

Runner was super-excited about getting the chance to run again. He really wanted to win races for George, get trophies for George, and make a lot of money for George.

When Friday night came, George came to the stable with a very disappointed look. "Runner," he said "I bought you so you could win races. So far, it's been two weeks, I've spent all this money, and you haven't won anything! I'm afraid I'm going to have to turn you into glue just so I don't have to keep feeding you."

Runner said "George, please just let me out to race tomorrow, and you'll see! All this time I've been wanting to race, but you wanted me to paint a fence, and drive a truck- just let me race in all the races, and you'll get all the trophies and all the money you can handle!"

"Sorry Runner," George said "It's too late- I already made the deal."

And that's the story of Runner and George, where the world's fastest horse was turned into the world's cheapest glue.

As for George, he never got to win any trophies, he lost all his money, and he eventually jumped off a bridge. But just before he jumped he said to himself "This is all Runner's fault- he should have won races for me."

IN PRISON . . . you spend most of your life looking through bars from the inside wanting to get out.
AT WORK . . . you spend most of your time wanting to get out and go inside bars.

IN PRISON . . . there are wardens who are often sadistic.

This is one of my favorites of Eric Worre's show "Network Marketing Pro".

Duuuuude- I have been SUCH a hunter, and have been looking for ways to go from a sniper shot to a BAZOOKA!
That's what a lot of the "Sponsor 30 people a day" people sell- the Bazooka.

I've recently been changing a lot of that thought process, but the truth is it's a difficult switch to make. While watching this I had a small epiphany. The action of "Taking it away" I saw as a great TACTIC to "use" on prospects to get them to join, but I heard a voice in my head (I hear them all the time, don't worry) say "Yes, Bones, maybe- but I would suggest you use the "take away" not as a tactic on them but on YOURSELF- to remind yourself that they may NOT be for it."

Smart voice, huh?

I'm begging you. Please don't be a multi-level moron!

We've made so much progress over the last few years. Network
Marketing has evolved into the mainstream and gained a level of
credibility few would have dreamed possible.

The business has attracted some of the biggest companies and
investors from the corporate world. We've gotten noticed with
positive publicity in the mainstream press. Financial experts like
Pilzer, Kiyosaki and Bach are falling all over themselves trying to
win influence with us.

The skepticism that we used to face with prospects has pretty much
become a thing of the past. Just about everyone knows someone that
is earning five or six figures a month in our business. And most
of them are fascinated by it.

We've helped tens of thousands of people to control their destiny,
create financial freedom, and live their dreams. People of all
ages, and from all walks of life have been able to create cash flow
machines producing substantial incomes. Many people--like me--have
been able to move from poverty to wealth.

We've been able to manifest the lifestyles we promote: driving the
free bonus cars, winning the free trips, and having the time for
the people and causes that are important to us. We've proven
that's it's not hype--the dream is real.

Probably more importantly, we have produced financial relief to
millions of struggling people. This is much bigger in the grand
scheme of things than the huge incomes many of us leaders have been
blessed with. I'm afraid we have become jaded. If someone isn't
pulling in at least $25,000 a month, we almost look on that as a
failure.

Yet we know that 80 or 90 percent of the bankruptcies today could
be averted with a mere $300 or $400 a month in additional income.

In today's difficult economy, Network Marketing is providing a
lifeline of financial security to millions. Most companies are
paying out somewhere between 30 to 50 percent of their sales into
their compensation plans. That means commissions of at least $40
BILLION are being paid out annually to distributors around the
world.

This money is buying groceries, funding schools, providing
medicine, supporting charities, making car payments, and keeping
mortgages current. Take that money out of the economy and it would
create a huge vacuum and cause great hardship.

So what's the one thing that can set us back?

Social media sites. Or more specifically, the thousands of people
using them to Spam, pitch and just generally alienate people about
our profession.

They just don't get it.

They set up a Twitter account and then send a pitch out every four
hours. Of course the only people following them are in their
group. Everyone else unfollows them as fast as possible.

Or my favorite, they make all kinds of tweets about the Randy Gage
system, Randy Gage training, or Randy Gage videos with a link. And
then the link is to a landing page on which they have cut and
pasted a paragraph or two of copy from my website, or linked to one
of my YouTube videos - then they patch on a pitch for their deal.
They should be ashamed of themselves.

Then there are the Facebook idiots...

They go around to the pages of people with a large amount of fans
and post their pitch every day until their account gets suspended.
Or they start a group, making look like it's a legitimate
collection of people interested in marketing or business. Then
they start sending their pitches every day. And of course many of
the people who are attracted to the group are multi-level morons
themselves, so they all start putting their pitches on the wall.
Pretty soon it's just a huge Spam-fest and it collapses on itself.

The other thing they do is spend hours every night looking for
other groups to join. And of course as soon as they're accepted,
they start posting their crap on the wall or emailing it to the
whole group. They can't figure out why Facebook keeps closing down
their account.

Then we have the attraction marketers telling people they can build
the business sitting home in their bunny slippers...

And the pay-per-click con artists buying company and leader names
and then trying to redirect the hapless souls that click on them
into buying their lead generation systems...
And the jerks who tag pictures and videos of their products with
the names of these same companies and leaders, even though they
have nothing to do with them. I could go on, but you get the
picture.

If you're doing these things, please stop! They don't work.

Why MLM Won't last.....

MLM has been around for a while, and it's about to die. For you to understand why I say that, you need to know some background...

When MLM began, it was changing from the regular salesman approach, and evolved to recruiting and leveraging salesmen because they realized that it was better to have "1% of 100 people's efforts than 100% of one person's."

For example, let's say there was 1 guy selling 1000 customers a long time ago, and that guy was working too hard. To gain leverage, they decided to recruit new salesmen.

Then, they went to having 10 guys selling 100 customers- the same money, but better leverage. They improved on that by having the salesmen find more salesmen.

Then, they had 100 guys selling 10 customers.

They they realized that the salesmen had more loyalty to the products, so why not make everyone a salesmen, looking for new salesmen?

Then they had 1000 salesmen, all very loyal to the products because, after all, they were salesmen...

You see, according to the current MLM philosophy, all of the salesmen (or "Reps" or "Distributors", or "IBO's)) are selling to themselves, and are looking for other salesmen who will sell to themselves.

The problem is that someone who sells to themselves isn't a salesman anymore-

THEY'RE A LOYAL CUSTOMER!!!

This is why MLM will die- because it will EVOLVE into something else...

Most companies don't see their reps as customers- and that's where it's been going wrong- the definition of the rep changed, but no one realized it!

When you change your paradigm, and look at the MLM industry not as reps finding reps, but CUSTOMERS FINDING CUSTOMERS, you have a MUCH different outlook on how you grow your business. More than that, you treatyour reps like valuable CUSTOMERS!

When you have reps "Motivating and training" reps, you have one behavior, when you have customers evangelizing and finding new customers, you have a different behavior.

Most people HATE being reps- but LOVE being loyal, RECOGNIZED customers.

Instead of "motivating" your reps with more money (truly, the only way an MLM seems to ever motivate a rep), you stimulate sales with promotions, contests, and FUN things to help your CUSTOMERS spread the word about their LOVE for your product and company.

A friend of mine owns a snack company (PeeledSnacks.com) and to stimulate sales, they got their customers to take pictures of themselves with the snacks in random places. The company president chose her favorite, (and gave prizes for most votes and such) and a few went on the website for the month.

Well, that customer obviously had to ask people to vote, and when they did, they were told ALL about Peeled Snacks. And some people bought some snacks. And of those, some bought "monthly delivery". Well, what the hell is "Monthly Delivery"?

AUTOSHIP.

So, an extremely silly contest (where there was no money involved) generated some new AUTOSHIP customers. If it worked for Peeled Snacks, why not make it work for an MLM?

Here's an email a CUSTOMER might send out:

"Dear friends,

Most of you guys know I LOVE Jingle Juice, and they're having a contest of who can have the most creative picture of a juice bottle. The winner gets to be on the website for a month, and I'd LOVE to win! Please go to http://www.JingleJuice.com/Bonesand vote for me- thanks!"

Love, Bones.

And what happens when they get to JingleJuice.com/Bones? It asks them to vote on pictures, all the meanwhile playing a commercial for how great jingle juice is, and how you can order a sample for only $5, or they can order a full bottle (their vote can even count more!), and learn all about how Jingle Juice pays it's customers.

"You can also watch these videos on how so-and-so lost weight, or made enough money for a second honeymoon. Join our community called 'JingleGym' where we all help each other with our fitness goals, and raise awareness for people dying of diabetes. All available with your purchase- no wonder people all over the world like your friend Bones (whose picture and testimonial is right here) are involved with Jingle Juice."

And guess what happens when you order your bottle? We send you info on our "Paid customer program" and ask YOU to participate. "After you try our juice, you'll know why we don't have to pay Madison avenue to advertise on TV- Instead, you and your family will be our advertisement, and we'll pay you. Sound good?"

We have THIS opportunity RIGHT NOW with HUB to lead the charge of the NEW PARADIGM for MLM- someone will do this, and will be wildly successful at it- we can be FIRST.

How ACN missed their big chance...

On last night's APPRENTICE, ACN did a brilliant thing- and then they dropped the ball...

Last night's CELEBRITY APPRENTICE show was basically a two-hour commercial for ACN and their new videophone. Now personally, I think videophones are THE PAST since we have the internet, but I accept that not everyone is caught up yet, so they might as well sell the phones to Luddites and reps.

So, they had TWO presentations about the phones to get ACN's "Sales force" hyped up on it- What a BRILLIANT move by ACN.

After the presentatiions, which were watched by millions, they had a real ad, directing everyone to their website http://www.ACNPrimeTime.com

I went their to check it out, and saw how MYOPIC people can be...

When I got their, it gave me an option- "See the videophone in action", which told me how great it was (which was wasste considering I just watched 2 hours of how great it was), and "Learn more about the business opportunity". When you click either of these, the MOST you could do was "request an ACN rep" to contact you.

ACN- YOU FAIL.

Why do I say that? Well- here they had a chance to SELL VIDEOPHONES. If they had just put up "Get the videophone for (however much) and get two for (however much) and get the second one to be delivered to your friend or loved one free", they would have CLEANED UP.

More than that, they would have had MORE PEOPLE USING THE PHONE.

Then, they should have just added a RANDOMIZER to let the sale go to ANY of their reps, and given their reps some free commissions, along with the purchaser's info, so they could contact them later and ask about the phone.

Also, during the sale, they could have told them "Join the biz opp, and get this phone for a discount", and upgraded people AUTOMATICALLY, and ALSO given their reps free, random reps.

BUT NO.

Because they have those "MLM GLASSES" on SO TIGHT, they didn't remember to keep the main thing the main thing- which is to SELL PHONES, and create a LOYAL CUSTOMER BASE.

Now, of the many millions who watched and went to the site, I am sure that far too many of them left the site without ever knowing how much the phones cost, nor left any information at all.

ACN- you missed your BIG CHANCE. Next time, call me!

Welcome Colored People!

Wow- Macy's has gotten TWO of the four "Sucky Ads" so far- It's not that I'm around Macy's or anything, they just seem to have SUCKY ADS.

Last night Laura and I went to see "August: Osage county", a drama on broadway (talk about DRAMATIC), and in the Playbill was this SUCKY AD for Macy's:

I think it's supposed to be an ad for colorful clothing, but instead, we get a woman dressed in black and white, and the only COLOR to be found aside from the red slogan is the WOMAN'S COLOR!!

So, Macy's are you telling me to welcome back COLORED PEOPLE? Is this an OBAMA thing? Maybe a new policy at Macy's- "We at Macy's now allow colored people- Welcome Back Color!"

Wow Macy's- You get the award for a SUCKY AD!!

No- Politically correct is NOT an Ad campaign...

Wow- how dumb is this? They are trying to sell these wear-on-your-face tv screens, which ARE cool- I mean, I have a pair (not this brand).
However, 2 things:

1- I never use them.

2- If I WERE to use them, and I were a thick-necked guy, I would NEVER wear them for OLD MOVIES... I would wear them for the BIG FOOTBALL GAME-

Oh, but I see- you've covered that crowd:

Only a boardroom (excuse me- BOREDroom) would say: "Oh yeah, we'll show the HOT WOMAN watching the football game- That'll confuse them into buying!"

Stupid, stupid, stupid.

They may sell, but only because they're the only one advertising these at all.
I've got an idea- get the boredroom people, strap these glasses on them, and make them a powerpoint of watch their ads cost more than their sales.

Even the MONKS are doing it!

Umm... Welcome Back STUPIDITY....

So, I'm walking in Macy's with my wife, and we see this ad:

It says "Welcome back Color". See anything wrong with it?
THERE'S ONLY ONE COLOR ON DISPLAY! And BLUE is hardly a fashion statement.

So what did I do? I IGNORED it except to say "wow- that's stupid!"
If they wanted me to look at COLORS, maybe give me a display with all sorts of mannequins in different... COLORS, all hanging out together. Then I might say to myself "Ooh- that yellow outfit is cool- I'm gonna get that, and while I'm at it, I'll get that green too!" Instead, I saw NOTHING, and bought NOTHING.

MINUTE MANAGEMENT COURSE

Lesson 1:

A man is getting into the shower just as his wife is finishing up her shower, when the doorbell rings.

The wife quickly wraps herself in a towel and runs downstairs. When she opens the door, there stands Bob, the next-door neighbor. Before she says a word, Bob says, 'I'll give you $800 to drop that towel.' After thinking for a moment, the woman drops her towel and stands naked in front of Bob, after a few seconds, Bob hands her $800 and leaves. The woman wraps back up in the towel and goes back upstairs. When she gets to the bathroom, her husband asks, 'Who was that?'

'It was Bob the next door neighbor,' she replies.

'Great,' the husband says, 'did he say anything about the $800 he owes me?'

Moral of the story:

If you share critical information pertaining to credit and risk with your shareholders in time, you may be in a position to prevent avoidable exposure.

Lesson 2:

A priest offered a nun a lift. She got in and crossed her legs, forcing her gown to reveal a leg.

The priest nearly had an accident. After controlling the car, he stealthily slid his hand up her leg. The nun said, 'Father, remember Psalm 129?' The priest removed his hand. But, changing gears, he let his hand slide up her leg again.

The nun once again said, 'Father, remember Psalm 129?' The priest apologized 'Sorry sister but the flesh is weak.' Arriving at the convent, the nun sighed heavily and went on her way.

On his arrival at the church, the priest rushed to look up Psalm 129. It said, 'Go forth and seek, further up, you will find glory.'

Moral of the story:

If you are not well informed in your job, you might miss a great opportunity.

Lesson 3:

A sales rep, an administration clerk, and the manager are walking to lunch when they find an antique oil lamp. They rub it and a genie comes out. The genie says, 'I'll give each of you just one wish.' 'Me first! Me first!' says the admin clerk. 'I want to be in the Bahamas , driving a speedboat, without a care in the world.'

Puff! She's gone. 'Me next! Me next!' says the sales rep. 'I want to be in Hawaii , relaxing on the beach with my personal masseuse, an endless supply of Pina Coladas and the love of my life.'

Puff! He's gone. 'OK, you're up,' the Genie says to the manager. The manager says, 'I want those two back in the office after lunch.'

Moral of the story:

Always let your boss have the first say.

Lesson 4

An eagle was sitting on a tree resting, doing nothing. A small rabbit saw the eagle and asked him, 'Can I also sit like you and do nothing?'

The eagle answered: 'Sure, why not.' So, the rabbit sat on the ground below the eagle and rested. All of a sudden, a fox appeared, jumped on the rabbit and ate it.

Moral of the story:

To be sitting and doing nothing, you must be sitting very, very high up.

Lesson 5

A turkey was chatting with a bull. 'I would love to be able to get to the top of that tree' sighed the turkey, 'but I haven't got the energy.' 'Well, why don't you nibble on some of my droppings?' replied the bull. They're packed with nutrients.'

The turkey pecked at a lump of dung, and found it actually gave him enough strength to reach the lowest branch of the tree. The next day, after eating some more dung, he reached the second branch. Finally after a fourth night, the turkey was proudly perched at the top of the tree. He was promptly spotted by a farmer, who shot him out of the tree.

Moral of the story:

Bull shit might get you to the top, but it won't keep you there..

Lesson 6

A little bird was flying south for the winter. It was so cold the bird froze and fell to the ground into a large field. While he was lying there, a cow came by and dropped some dung on him. As the frozen bird lay there in the pile of cow dung, he began to realize how warm he was. The dung was actually thawing him out! He lay there all warm and happy, and soon began to sing for joy. A passing cat heard the bird singing and came to investigate.

Following the sound, the cat discovered the bird under the pile of cow dung, and promptly dug him out and ate him.

Morals of the story:

(1) Not everyone who shits on you is your enemy.

(2) Not everyone who gets you out of shit is your

friend.

(3) And when you're in deep shit, it's best to keep

your mouth shut!

People who "float" tend to sink, but why?

After reading "TRIBES" by Seth Godin, I'm looking to change some sacred cows in the industry-

Let me "Float" an idea your way...

People usually "float" ideas around people they know, like and respect when they are presented with a new idea, or thinking about a decision.

But in MLM, that can be a disaster.

Usually, we tell our new guy that "YOU have to decide first, and THEN people will follow you". And that's definitely the way it works because it's true in leadership.

But most people aren't leaders.

And most people who see MLM for the first time don't know what to think of it yet. EVEN THE LEADERS.

So, they'll do what most people do-

They'll "FLOAT" an idea.

And it is usually met with scorn, ridicule, or they're told a bunch of misinformation from someone who thinks they know.

So, we ALWAYS tell them to "NOT tell anyone" until they're in, and have learned how to be bold, and LEAD.

But that RARELY works, because most people AREN'T leaders.

So, that's why we have the quit rate we do- people do what's normal, it doesn't work,
and they quit.

But there's another option rather than telling them not to say anything. I mean- we WANT high numbers, right? We WANT most people, don't we?

LET them "float" the idea.

Why not make the idea "Floatable" to begin with?

Why not have the "Float" built-in to the presentation?

I've been working with Jerry and Jessica Conti, and I think we've come up with the way to "Float" the idea of HUB for a new person, so that we can completely change the way MLM is done.

I want to find the MOST people, and let them HELP US find the leaders- that makes sense doesn't it?

Is Barack Obama the World's BEST Network Marketer?

By the time John McCain and the crazies were grabbing at straws to slow down the MOMENTUM of Barack Obama's presidential campaign, Obama had already laid his foundation, had recruited his team, and initiated the best MLM campaign the world has ever seen...

From his own mouth, Barack Obama says that his campaign for the presidency started in living rooms, dens, and porches. He said that he was talking with people who wanted HELP, people who wanted a CHANGE.

He traveled all over the country, meeting new people, and finding those who would be willing to make calls for him, introduce friends to his ideas, and work towards the common goal of CHANGE for themselves, their friends, and their children.

At first, a friend of mine declared that she was working on the campaign on facebook, and and she got a lot of flack because he was so unknown, and was still running against Hillary- a well-known politician. She was a young white well-off woman, and her commitment at the time seemed, well... weird.

Slowly, more and more people were talking about his ideas and his campaign for change. I kept hearing about it on the news and other places, and after many exposures, I started to pay attention- but I really didn't care.

Then I saw a vision of the future with McCain winning:

Once I saw that video, the campaign seemed VERY important, and VERY urgent. I guess I hd to see what the alternative was for eme to really pay attention.

Once I heard the message Obama was preaching, the vision of the future he held, and the way he wanted to accomplish this, I was converted!

I wore buttons, made calls, and solicited friends and neighbors to take action and tell THEIR friends and neighbors about Barack Obama and the campaign for Change.

I even got into a few fights, and alienated a few people- but it was the FUTURE that I was working towards- whoever wasn't joining the campaign was fine with me- but would they at least VOTE for him?

Some still said no- they were too scared of "what might happen"

Can you imagine what kind of Network Marketing business you could have if you just got a few people around you who were willing to do all of those things for you and themselves? If you were filled with a vision of the future that you wanted, along with a vision that you didn't want?

We hear all the time that this business is about leadership, and getting people to do things they normally wouldn't for themselves. But Barack Obama was able to transfer his vision of a new America to people who were tired of the life as it was, and who wanted CHANGE.

There were almost 1/2 of the people in the country who didn't believe him, who called him every name in the book, but he kept on telling us his about his vision, and his idea of CHANGE. And he kept on describing that vision.

So- what about you? As you build your business, can you take away some lessons from Barack Obama? Can you make your business more about HOPE and INSPIRATION for many rather than about your bonus check? Can you transfer your vision of the future and the CHANGE versus the vision of a few extra dollars, and still living the same way?

Can you endure people calling you "terrorist", and questioning all of your friends and family members?

I think you can- and I think you can also bring about the CHANGE WE CAN BELIEVE IN.

Barack Obama, MLM, and The United States of America...

A number of my "MLM Friends" were big McCain fans. A lot of them bought the line about Obama being a Socialist, and we all know that MLMers are all about Capitalism and free enterprise.

However, what they might not realize is that their precious Capitalistic MLM is froaght with many, many socialist features...

It's kind of like showing someone MLM, and them screaming "PYRAMID!!"- it just takes a little bit of knowledge to see the truth:

First of all, there's really no such thing as pure capitalism- where the best product at the best price wins, and if your company is providing that best product at the best price, your company will win. There are many other factors that go into buying, and most companies feel they have th best product at the best price, so who's to say? Moreover, any disruption in that model- marketing, slogans, sale prices, and referrals all disrupt pure capitalism.

In MLM, there are may different Juice comapnies, many different pill companies, and many services, all who claim to have the best product or service. More than that, they also claim to have the best compensation plan, and a compensation plan is one of the features that is pretty fungible; meaning that the $300 you make at one company is the same as the $300 at another.

However, every compensation plan is "weighted" differently between a new person and a "heavy hitter". Some people prefer a compensation plan that is geared towards the new person, so that they comp plan pays better at the "lower levels". And yet, you want something that still rewards the "heavy hitter", so that the ambition to grow is always rewarded. A comp plan can be weighted one way to ruin, and to the other way to ruin also. Balance between the two brings success.

In the U.S., after 4 years of George W. Bush and the new republican philosophy, the comp plan for the U.S. was too heavily weighted towards the "heavy hitters" at the top, and didn't allow the small guy or the new person to prosper. That's why the U.S.'s comp plan bottomed out, and we have the recession we're in now, which will be a depression very soon.

What many of the McCain people were scared of is that Obama was going to come in and "take away" from the upper levels, in some sort of unjust robin hood way, not realizing that the plan was weighted too much on the top already. It was time to BALANCE the comp plan by putting in better incentives at the lower levels.

In order to win, McCain's camp was calling this "Socialism", but they were just trying any and everything they could to win. There was no basis for this other than Obama saying "spread the wealth around".

Instead, Obama's plans are to BALANCE the U.S.'s comp plan, so that all of the participants can benefit instead of just the heavy hitter friends of Bush's.

MLM itself already has many socialist features:

You know how we all pay for the room at an opportunity meeting? That's a Socialist idea.
You know how we ALL benefit from the company doing ads and commercials? That's a SOCIALIST IDEA.
You know how we try to work together to lift up the whole company- that's a SOCIALIST IDEA!

If we were REALLY "cut-throat Capitalists", we'd be competing for each and every recruit, and tearing each other down to get the sign-ups. No one would EVER attend an opportunity meeting, because we'd all be trying to steal each other's guests. Do some people do that? Yes- does it work for them? Not in the long run.

But this is exactly what was happening in the U.S.- the guys at "the top" were ruining the market for everyone- including themselves.

So, precious Capitalistic Network Marketers, I hope the next time you hear someone screaming "Socialism" as a way to denegrate someone else, I hope you take the time to THINK about it, rather than just assume it's a negative. As wonderful as our capitalistic ideals are, they are just as impossible as pure communism, so the best way to run a government, and an MLM is to have BALANCE.

I have a popular T-Shirt

There were so many people who gave me a "great Shirt"
or a "Yeah" as I passed them it was a little silly.

People were acting like I was their friend, and it was all because of my T-Shirt.

The message of Hope.
Isn't that reason enough to vote for that man and his message?

Someone else said "They'll never let it happen" and "They'll kill him if he gets there".

I think that would just be the saddest thing ever.

Anyway, this is a business blog, so let me just say that T-Shirt advertising certainly still works. The question is- what message are you advertising?

On another note, two different people swore to me that they wanted their own T-Shirt, so I gave them my info to email me so they could.

Neither did it.

So, in my own dealings with people, I think it would be wise to realize that most people will do NOTHING if given the chance.

Remember that when you're prospecting;
If not even Barack Obama can move his people to action, maybe your message better be more than hope.

"Shopping experience" that people would want to KEEP doing. They might even see
what their friends have bought recently (with everyone's permission of
course), and
maybe even send requests to their friends to "chip in" on promise
baskets and arks,
or any of the other "high-ticket" items.

I really think that Heifer is doing such great work, and I hope that
these ideas help
you go forward in expanding your reach and influence.

Let me explain what I mean:

At first, the sheep newbie buys a whole lot of information from guru internet marketers whom they admire because everyone realizes that working 40 hours a week for 40 years is a recipe for misery and poverty.

After spending a lifetime of money on everyone’s ideas, the sheep learns some concepts and techniques, and gets up the guts to put them to work. They MIGHT have their own business, but quickly discover that:

it’s FAR easier to sell to the “internet marketing” crowd than any other.

As the crowd gets bigger and bigger, only a small percentage throw their hat into the “guru” ring- the pie grows faster than the new gurus can proclaim themselves.

So, they start becoming “affiliates” using the same information. Maybe they even write their own.
There’s nothing wrong with any of this.

Yet.

After a while of learning to “build a list”, they start promoting their own products to the list. After they have made a few sales, they realize that they actually CAN create an income, and even learn to recommend other people’s stuff.

This is where the slope gets slippery, and the sheep changes into a wolf.

Having run out of their own information, and having run out of sales, the wolf looks to the “other guys” to either be affiliates for them, or knock-off someone else’s information, repackage it, and sell that too.

Suddenly, they’re part of the “in” crowd, where they buddy-up with other wolves, and wear each other’s sheep costumes; “promoting” each other, but really just shearing the same people over and over.

And the wolf who gives the biggest kick-back wins.

I can’t help but twinge a little every time I notice someone does a “big roll-out” of some product that’s basically a knock-off of someone else’s, and the wolves all promote it to each other’s sheep.

They have a big celebration, and pat each other on the back:

“So-and-so made $100,000 in one day! You can do it too!”-

They’re not lying; the guy DID make that- and they’re happy because they all know that next week, it’ll be their turn.

When everyone is selling the same thing, no one is selling anything.

I was headed down this path; I was writing new stuff, and finding new people, and started to get to know a few of the gurus.

They’re stressed out, constantly needing to make new products, and FEED on each other’s lists like junkies.

Again, they didn’t MEAN to do it; it just came with the territory. And now they’re trapped, because stopping would mean going back to misery and poverty.

If a sheep wanted help, their usual answer was another product that addressed their particular problem. If they didn’t learn it, it’s their responsibility.

Whereas it MIGHT help the sheep, it DEFINITELY helped the seller.

I’m not saying that it’s on purpose, and I’m not saying everyone does this; actually, most of the information given out is great. However, if we’re all saying the same thing, and all promoting each other, all while shearing the newbie sheep, there’s something wrong, isn’t there?

I say “we” because I was headed in that direction, but I had to stop. I wish I could sit here and say that the moral implications are what stopped me, but they weren’t-

I just wasn’t good at it.

Sure, I could have learned, and I could have “buddied-up” better, but I just didn’t. Somewhere I knew it was all wrong, and I felt like a fraud.

Fortunately, I found something that pays me based on how well I help OTHER people.

If I shear them, I get almost nothing.

But if I HELP THEM, then I get paid wonderfully.

So, I’m inviting YOU to help me actually HELP people, and get paid based on it.

To get paid on actually HELPING PEOPLE create an income, and HELPING them learn the new mindsets, new attitudes and new successes that the new world needs.

The whole “promoting each others’ stuff” is getting ridiculous, and leaning towards the immoral.

You HAVE TO know what I‘ve been describing.

Yeah, you do.

Again, I’m not saying that it’s on purpose or insidious, but I AM saying that someone has to stop it-

I’m asking if you’ll help me rescue the sheep, find them a home, and STILL be paid residually and magnificently.

Choirs, Myths and Ambassadors...

When I was in the Choir in my junior high school, my best friend was Jason Paltrowitz. We had won a trip to go compete in some national championship, so all of us kids from new york city got on a bus and headed down to a town I won't name.

When we met the other kids there, we all introduced ourselves, and said where we were from.

When Jason said "My name is Jason Paltrowitz, and I'm from New York City!"

The kids from this town got all excited. We asked them why:

"Well, Jason.... are you JEWISH?" one kid asked excitedly.
"Yeah, I am" he said, figuring they knew from his last name.

They giggled, and asked quite innocently: "Can we see your horns?"
..........

I was totally aghast. I hadn't even heard that myth before, but I could tell from their faces that they truly and sincerely thought that Jews had horns on their heads.

Like the devil.

They didn't mean anything by it; that's just what they had heard.

I was about to start yelling and screaming and throwing punches, but I was frozen. This was my BEST FRIEND they were talking about.

But then I saw an amazing thing.

Jason just said "Oh, I don't have horns. Jews don't really have horns; that's just a crazy story."

"Oh,... ok" the kids said, disappointed that they weren't going to see a free freakshow.

After that, we all just went out and played "tag" together- and made sure not to yell and mess up our voices!

That day has stuck in my mind forever.

Why am I telling you this story? Well, two reasons:

1- You are in a business that most people don't understand. If they REALLY did, they'd be involved in SOME sort of Network Marketing company somewhere. I am in three myself, but Agel is the only one I build. I believe that in the future, network marketing companies will be as popular as franchises are today.

Our challenge is educating people correctly. Jason just kept his cool, and very calmly explained that crazy horn story. I recently had a guy tell me that he "Wouldn't want to 'DO Neywork Marketing' TO his friends" because network marketing was a scam and shameful (by the way, that same guy said he was willing to "Do it" to strangers). I obviously have no desire to sponsor him, but I did challenge him to get some REAL information on our industry. I should find out if he ever did, or if he just stayed in his ignorance.

2- You are in a business where people from all over the world come together to help each other, and work together despite their perceived differences. I remember at Agel World '07, one of the Leaders in Israel said that his mission with Agel was to bring Peace to the holy land. Wouldn't that be amazing? "Sorry, I know we've been fighting for eons, but we had better figure out how to stop because there's too much money invested here!"

Now THAT is a mission.

So, when you're out building your business, let's remember that what we're doing is EDUCATING people on our industry and our business, and that YOU are the ambassador.

That way, if someone asks to see your horns, maybe you can explain that you don't have any, and that in this business, you're just trying to:

Create Wealth
Have Fun
Help Others

Y'know- we tend to think we're better than people
who are addicted to drugs or alcohol, but I've
got some news for you:

Your body can be addicted to ANY chemical.

and FEELINGS are chemicals.

FEELINGS are chemical reactions in your body that
your brain spits out. For example, when you think of
something funny, your BODY reacts by laughing.

When you think of something SEXY, your body reacts-
(on us men, it's a little more obvious!)

So, if those are chemicals running around in our
body, and our body can be addicted to ANY chemical-

WE CAN BE ADDICTED TO FEELINGS.

And some of us are ADDICTED to FEELING like LOSERS.

We feel like losers so much, that even when we win,
we're so addicted to the loser feeling, that we find
a way to look at it so we feel like a loser. Or we
mess it up so we can get the FEELING of losing.

AMAZING isn't it?

Now here's the GOOD part-

IT'S NOT YOUR FAULT.

Just like it's not an alcoholic's FAULT that they
are addicted to alcohol, it is a CHEMICAL reaction
in their body.

However-

They ARE responsible for it. That means, they can CHOOSE
to NOT drink. They can CHOOSE to not go to a bar; they
can CHOOSE a new life.

When Alcoholics first get sober, many get attached to,
and get addicted emotionally, to other things: smoking
sex, exercise, work, etc. But ultimately, they choose
something ELSE- that's what "RESPONSE-ABILITY" means:

the ability to CHOOSE your RESPONSE.

So- if you're addicted to being a LOSER, then you'll
do things like ask for information on how to make
money, but then not follow-up. You'll not return
a phone call, or you won't ever get started with
something.

That's what LOSERS do if they keep CHOOSING to be
addicted to their LOSING.

But you can make a DIFFERENT choice. You can choose to
QUIT LOSING by QUITTING doing what a loser does.

You can QUIT QUITTING!!

You can pick up the stupid phone, and call me, and
let me help you instead of being scared and lazy.

I myself am addicted to losing, so I have to
carefully choose NOT to do the loser things I want
to do.

Yesterday I messed up big time.

I did NOTHING productive, and the losing felt GREAT
because I had a pity party for myself. It was only
the second day of the year, and I had already quit
on all my "big plans" for the New Year.

I chose LOSING.

But then I went to a meeting, because I had to,
and got around a bunch of WINNERS.
I got around successful people, and since I wanted to
fit in, I ACTED like a winner- and guess what happened?

It felt even BETTER than losing!

Today I've been ON FIRE!!!

I went to the Gym, I've talked with my publicist, I've
written some new stuff (this email just flowed out),
and I've made a new plan for 2008.

Anyway, I just wanted you to know that if you've already
broken your New Year's resolutions- you're not alone.

AND- that today, you can start AGAIN- you can start a NEW
RESOLUTION TODAY- RIGHT NOW.

You can CHOOSE to QUIT losing, and I'll be right there
next to you-

"Wanna Punch in Da Nose?"

"Wanna punch in da nose?"

That's what the guy asked me. He was at least 6' 4", and
I could tell he meant it, and was waiting for an answer.

Thing is, before he asked me that, I thought we were getting
along really well. I was asking him about spiritual practices,
and how I could make more money come into my life.

Even though I'm an actor, I learned that you oughtta get some
sales skills if you want to be a rich and successful person.
Not that I wanted to be a salesman, but let's face it- when
we were kids, we did a good sales job on our parents around
Christmas time, right?

I REALLY NEEDED that G.I. Joe Jet Plane with the ejectable seat.

So when I asked this 6' 4" guy for some of his advice on
how to make better sales, and how to make more money come
into my life, I was surprised by his answer.

"Wanna punch in da nose?"

"Um.... no?" I said, unsure of my feelings on the matter.

"Well then don't give one" he said.

I didn't get it. I had no intention of giving anyone a
punch in da nose, much less this guy who was towering over me.

"If you want something, you gotta give it first." he said,
"If you want a punch in da nose, you should give one to someone.
If you want more money, you should give some to someone."

Oh, I get it. The old "Tithe and Get Rich" idea. The math I
was taught in school didn't really jibe with that idea. The
way I see it, if you have two apples, and you gave away one,
you only had one apple left.

"I can see you're skeptical" he said "I was too- but then
I tried it- Why don't you try it?"

I thought about it. What did I have to lose?

So I punched him in da nose.

and he punched me back.

I was convinced that the principle worked!
We both had sore faces, and I learned a lesson.

See, what the math I learned in school didn't take
into account was the other things that happen when
you give away the apple.

Sure, when I gave away one of the two apples I had,
I ended up with only one apple, but I ALSO ended up with
something more valuable- a GRATEFUL FRIEND.

Unless the friend didn't want an apple to begin with.

So, here's what I took away from this now very long story:

When you want something, you have to give it away-
TO THE PEOPLE WHO WANT IT.

When you give away the awesome opportunity we have,
sometimes in our enthusiasm we'll give it to people
who don't want it- people who are happy being where they are.

However, if you give it to someone who WANTS it, two things
happen:

1- You'll see that giving it away doesn't take from your own
supply of it, and
2- You'll gain a GRATEFUL FRIEND.

Sounds like a bargain when you think about it like that, doesn't it?

Robert Kiyosaki Goes To Church....

Today Robert Kiyosaki spoke at the Marble Collegiate Church, in front of a pretty small group of people who donated to WLIW Public Television. His wife Kim kiyosaki and Ken McCarthy spoke too.

Of course, I was RIVETED.

I have heard Robert and Kim so many times, and yet I learn something almost everytime I hear them. It's amazing how just ONE SENTENCE can actually be worth thousands.

Wondering what that sentence was?

Well, maybe I'll tell you in a bit, but for right now, how's this:

"People will spend THOUSANDS on new golf clubs, but won't go buy golf LESSONS".

I liked that one. It's truee that the part we try to skip is the learning. Everything is about skipping the mearning, but learning is so much fun!

He also mentioned the value of making mistakes and going forward, EXPECTING to do it wrong. "If you don't start, you don't get smarter".

He mentioned what he thought was the BEST investment for the little guy right now, and BE SURE that I'll be taking his advice on that. Wanna know what it is?

That is SO heavy if you understand it.

He means that they are always investing in order to get their money back out, as quickly as possible. No, I've heard that before, and I even practice it often. But the word "Always" is what made the difference today.

Always.

That means that even in my businesses, I should be looking for INFINITE leverage;
not just in MONEY, but in TIME too- does that make sense?

GETTING THE TIME BACK is the ultimate leverage, right?

Yesterday, we had a SUPER SATURDAY in New York,
and you won't believe the way it ended.

A Super Saturday happens around once a month, and it's when
some of our leaders come in to speak to the larger team. This
month we had:

Les Brown

Radio & T.V. Personality; Author of the best
seller– “Live Your Dreams.”

Also:

Eric Worre, in his 1st year in the business, is earning
over $114,000 a month

Antonio Adair, former postal worker, Now a Million Dollar
Earner

Vice President

Mr. Brent Jensen

It started LATE, but Antonio did a FANTASTIC overview of the
business- really funny, down-to-earth and informative.

Laura and I got to come up for a testimonial- I was good,
and Laura was great.

Then Brent Jensen told us about some of the things that are
coming up for Agel- New Products like Pre-natal vitamins
in Gel form, Omega-3's, and some others.

LES BROWN told us all how "You got to be HOWNGRY"
and that "It's Possible"

and Then ERIC WORRE came up.

For a man who makes over a million dollars a year in
RESIDUAL income, he seemed awfully relaxed.

I think I would be jumping up and down all the time,
but he was extremely humble about how and why
he built his business.

And then he told us the key:

100 QUALITY Exposures.

QUALITY Exposures.

100.

He said if you do that in one year, you'll have a good business.
If you did it faster, you'd have a better business.

QUALITY Exposures.

Not "I got into this THING, and I think maybe..."
Not "I get one, and then you get one..."
Not "Hey- watch this and call me"

But making appointments, following up properly
and giving good information. If you can do 100
QUALITY Exposures, you can set yourself up to
be FREE for LIFE- and you'll help OTHER PEOPLE
do the same.

But I haven't gotten to the best part yet.

He gave us specific scripts to use, and exactly HOW
to Invite- he gave us the PSYCHOLOGY behind it.

Then it was over- and MOST PEOPLE left and went home.

But not Me, Laura or my MOM (who flew up from Miami
to see Eric and Les speak)

No- we stuck around- just to see if Eric wanted to go to dinner.

and he did.

Along with Brent Jensen.

Laura, Mom and I went to dinner with the Vice President and with Eric Worre.

That's it.

No one else came.

We held them hostage for 2 hours.

And picked their brains.

We told them about our webcasts, and how people are excited
and growing. We told them about how we find them online, but
then bring them to events, and how we CAN'T WAIT for AGEL WORLD
in October.

Then I realized they was making US talk, and we chose to SHUT UP
and ask them questions-

They told US about the OTHER STUFF they didn't get to say at the
meeting- like what countries are coming on board, and what products
are going to completely change the game, and HOW ERIC IS SPONSORING
NEW PEOPLE RIGHT NOW.

He says he has NO patience for whiners and people who don't go to events.

He said that people who don't go to events don't grow.

He said that even though he makes over a MILLION DOLLARS A YEAR,
some people STILL don't get in the business with him. Can you IMAGINE that?

We talked about Network marketing and how it's grown over the years,
and how he wants to put together a book on what he's learned and
what he wished someone had told him ten years ago.

Just the five of us, at the Hilton Hotel restaurant, and Brent picked up
the check! How great was that?

I am sometimes asked, “Why do so few people make it to the top of their network marketing system?”

The truth is, the top of the network marketing system is open to everyone—unlike traditional corporate systems, which allow only one person to reach the top of the company. The reason most people do not reach the top is simply because they quit too soon. So why would someone quit short of the top?

Most people join only to make money. If they don’t make money in the first few months or years, they become discouraged and quit (and then often bad-mouth the industry!). Others quit and go looking for a company with a better compensation plan. But joining to make a few quick dollars is not the reason to get into the business.

The Two Essential Reasons to Join a Network Marketing Business

Reason number one is to help yourself. Reason number two is to help others. If you join for only one of these two reasons, then the system will not work for you.

Reason number one, means that you come to the business primarily to change quadrants—to change from the E (Employee) or the S (Self-employed) quadrant to the B (Business owner) or I (Investor) quadrant.

This change is normally very difficult for most people—because of money. The true E or S quadrant person will not work unless it is for money. This is also what causes people to not reach the top of the network marketing system: they want money more than they want to change quadrants.

A B quadrant or I quadrant person will also work for money, but in a different way. The B quadrant person works to build or create an asset—in this case, a business system. The I quadrant person invests in the asset or the system.

The beauty of most network marketing systems is that you do not really make much money unless you help others leave the E and S quadrants and succeed in the B and I quadrants. If you focus on helping others make this shift, then you will be successful in the business.

As a B or an I, sometimes you don’t get paid for years; this, a true E quadrant or S quadrant person will not do. It’s not part of their core values. Risk and delayed gratification disturb them emotionally.

Delayed Gratification and Emotional Intelligence

One of the beauties of network marketing is that it focuses on developing your emotional intelligence as well as your business skills.

Emotional intelligence is an entirely different matter from academic intelligence. In general, someone with high emotional intelligence will often do better than someone with high academic intelligence but low emotional intelligence. That explains, in part, why some people do well in school but not so well in the real world.

The ability to delay gratification is a sign of higher emotional intelligence. In a recent study of emotional intelligence, it was found that people who could delay gratification often led more successful lives than those who could not.

This is why the educational system inherent in a good network marketing opportunity is so important. It’s the emotional education or emotional intelligence aspect of their programs that I find so valuable for people.

Many people write me and tell me they loved my book, Rich Dad, Poor Dad, but I fear that many of them don’t get the most important point of the book: Lesson #1, “The rich don’t work for money.”

Once I have built or bought an asset, that asset works hard to make money for me. But I will not work for money—I will work only to build or buy assets. Those assets make me richer and richer, while I work less and less. That is what the rich do. The poor and middle class work hard for money, and then buy liabilities instead of investing in assets.

What Kind of Asset is a Network Marketing Business?

Remember, there are two reasons required to be successful in network marketing: to help yourself, and to help others. Reason number one means helping yourself get to the B side of the quadrant. What about reason number two?

The beauty of most network marketing systems is that you don’t really make much money unless you help others leave the E and S quadrants and succeed in the B and I quadrants . If you focus on helping others make this shift, then you will be successful in the business.

If you only want to teach yourself to be a B quadrant and I quadrant person, then a true network marketing system won’t work for you. You may as well go to a traditional business school, which focuses only on your becoming a B quadrant person.

The beauty of a network marketing business is that your goal is to create assets, which are other B’s working under you—and their job is to create other B’s working under them. In traditional business, the focus is for the B to have only E’s and S’s working for them.

The type of business I was taught to build is a business with me at the top and E’s and S’s at the base. I really don’t have room at the top for many other B’s, which is why in my businesses, I strongly recommend that all my employees look into network marketing as their own part-time businesses.

The traditional corporate system really is a pyramid, because there are a few B’s and I’s near the top, and more E’s and S’s at the base. A network marketing system is a reverse pyramid: its primary focus is to bring up more and more B’s to the top.

One type of pyramid, the traditional type, has its base on the ground; the other type has its base in the air. It’s a pyramid that pulls you up instead of pushing you down. A network marketing business gives everyone access to what used to be the domain only of the rich.

Do you know how to talk?

When we begin our Network Marketing businesses, sometimes it feels weird to TALK.
We are given scripts and exact words to duplicate, and it can feel fake, foreign and phony. Eric Worre said in his training:

"After they see the DVD, just say 'Did you get it?', and see what they say. If they say 'yes', then you say 'Great- are you ready to get started?' if not, then lead them to the next exposure."

It seems Unnatural.

Even as an actor, I actually HATE memorizing scripts, and would MUCH rather be improvisational about my acting AND my business. But then I thought about it differently.

We have franchises; personal franchises. When you order a burger at a burger franchise, someone will ask you "Would you like fries with that?" immediately.

It is fake, foreign and phony.
And it works.

Since we have our own personal franchises, why not just use the scripts, just like they do at McDonald's?

I guess from now on, I'd better brush up on my lines- Thanks Eric!

I went away last weekend to ORLANDO for our big "MASTERMIND" weekend, and I had a blast! Not only did I learn SO much, but I met with and partied with a whole big group of people!

And as you now, I like to party.

I am writing a book on Star Trek.

What does this have to do with you?

Well, what I learned about Internet marketing is being used here.

The way I got my Agent? Marketing.

Progressive Commercial...

I had some people ask me to chronicle some of my acting adventures, so I thought I would talk about the commercial auditions I go on, and discuss their marketing.

Today I auditioned for "Progressive Auto Insurance"- They had me hold up a picture of a tow truck :"This represents the number of accidents in Florida", then I held up a Dollar sign next to it. "This represents Progressive's Rates".

"When number of accidents go down" I lowered the tow truck, "Then your insurance rates go down" I lowered the Dollar sign. "That means more money in your pocket".

Good commercial.

Why?

Well, I like that they were making their point visually (As I understand it, they want the signs to be lowered on an automatic car window), and it was to the point. It's also a great concept for insurance rates.

However, since I'm a know-it-all, I added at the last line "That means more money in your pocket FOR NEON LIGHTS AND FLAMINGOES"- that's a Florida joke. Not great, but I was adding specificity to the ad.

Will I get it? Who knows- they were looking for a "Zach Branth" or whatever his name is from Scrubs. Do I look like him?

Ah- this is ALSO a crazy business!

Why your palm hurts....

I LOVE my cellphone/pda the TREO 650.
This love for my device has a good lesson in it- and
it's not what you think.

It's ok to love an inanimate object.

wait a second-

this message is to tell you why I now HATE
by cellphone/pda TREO 650.

I found out recently that the pictures I have been taking and saving to my
computer were actually NOT being saved to it.

I figured it was something I had done wrong, but after spending an HOUR
with 4 different people from PALMONE, found out that the software that
connects my phone to my computer ONLY does that if you use the software
FROM THE CD that came with the device.

That means that the software (of the same name) that I had to DOWNLOAD from THEIR
site- the "UPGRADED" version does NOT have that functionality.

I asked why not- as any customer would, and the answer was that they
didn't have the rights to send it online, only with a CD.

So- "SEND ME A CD."

"Sure- that'll be $19.95"

HELL NO. I bought the damn thing, I used the CD, but eventually had to UPGRADE, and now they said that I have to PAY to get the functions that were supposed to be there to begin with?

That was after an hour, by the way.

So guess what? I'm going to get the CD from a friend who still has his,
and then instead of getting the NEW TREO 700, or 750, or 800,

I'll be buying an I-Phone.

I think you should too.

F*CK PalmOne.

So what's the lesson? Don't THROW your customers to your competitors
by being stupid.

Your Commercial Sucks- Dominoe's Pizza

There is a commercial on right now for Dominoes where there is a couple in a hot tub, and just when they are about to kiss, the dominoes delivery guy says "3 medium Pizzas for 5 bucks?" or something like that. Actually sounds like a good deal.

The woman then eyes the pizzas, and they cut. When we come back, we see that the woman left BOTH of the guys in the tub alone.

What a FREAKIN' STUPID IDEA!!!!

That does NOT make me want to get Pizza. The lesson I learned in that commercial was that if I get those pizzas, I'll LOSE the girl!

I guess I had better NOT buy those pizzas- even if it IS a good deal!!

The BEST Scam Ever!!

Ok- so you don't care WHAT you do, what the hell kind of opportunity, business, or scam that you can get into, you just wanna get some cash, be successful, and rock the world, right?

I don't blame you.

Well I have a BIG secret for you- a BIG SECRET that the government, society, and your friends don't want you to know- a secret SO POWERFUL, that it can make you Rich, Beautiful, and best of all- RIGHT all the time!

Listen carefully to part one:

1- You can get RICH by doing PRACTICALLY NOTHING!!

All you have to do is investigate any or all of the opportunities you see, spend ALL of your money on CD's, DVD's, Beer, and hookers- then you sit back and watch the cash roll in! DO NOT attempt to READ anything or LEARN anything, just BUY IT. DO NOT follow any directions, and for GOD'S SAKE watch ALL of the TV you can- but don't TRY too hard!

That's right- just by being lazy and doing NOTHING you can get rich! The government doesn't want you to know these CAREFULLY GUARDED SECRETS, but I'm telling you-

You can do NOTHING- just be sure to BLAME everyone else for your "misfortune".

This BLAME is the key! You can GUILT people into giving you money!!

That's how simple it is!!! Just DO NOTHING to make money, and then GUILT someone who IS making money and being "productive" into giving you some!

IT'S SO SIMPLE!!!

These tactics were long-guarded secrets, but humans forgot about them. We now are living in an age that makes this possible again!

This time-tested secret works not only with money, but with OTHER parts of your life too:

2- You can become BEAUTIFUL and FIT by doing PRACTICALLY NOTHING!!

DO NOT exercise, and DO NOT eat well. In fact, if you sit in front of the television, and ONLY EAT what is advertised and is in a box, you'll do very well with this ancient secret.

Continue to SHOVEL food into your mouth, and be sure not to burn any calories doing it- then when you get FAT and SICK, you can blame the government, food companies, your parents, and SOCIETY for your "health issues"!

By using this BLAMING technique, you'll be able to GUILT them all into paying your medical bills, insurance costs (they rise y'know), and you'll get them to visit YOU because of your new-found "conditions".

Not to mention that you can GUILT them into liking you!

If you become unattractive to the opposite sex, you can call them shallow and one-dimensional. You can say things like "They just want us to be perfect". You can say that they have NO DEPTH of LOVE for your "true" self, and only your body.

And if you find someone who DOES like your new look and shape, you can guilt them for having a "sick-o fetish" for fatties- DON'T PUT UP WITH IT!!

Guilt and Shame- they work EVERYTIME!!

3- You can be RIGHT about EVERYTHING- ALL THE TIME- by doing PRACTICALLY NOTHING!!

This one I admit takes a little genuine idea-creating on your side, but if you practice, it's something you can do anywhere, anytime, and it NEVER FAILS:

During any conversation where you think someone is saying something that you disagree with (or even if they don't say it, but they LOOK like someone who would), just say these words:

"THAT'S WHAT GOD SAYS; IT'S IN THE BIBLE"

If they begin to talk, or ask any STUPID QUESTIONS that might contradict you, CUT THEM OFF and say again:

"THAT'S WHAT GOD SAYS; IT'S IN THE BIBLE"

This is a fool-proof way to ALWAYS BE RIGHT, and NEVER have to listen to anyone else again!

You use the same BLAME and GUILT techniques I've been describing for you- you BLAME GOD by saying that it's what "HE" (or "SHE" if you're having THAT argument) says, and then GUILT them by being shocked that they don't know that already- AS THEY SHOULD.

This works for Jews, Muslims, and Christians the best, but if you're of a DIFFERENT faith that is 100% correct all the time too, you can make up your OWN bible, or just say "HE (or SHE) TOLD ME IN PRAYER"- that works too.

So remember- BLAME and GUILT are ALWAYS available to you, and the more your practice the more you will be

RICH, BEAUTIFUL AND RIGHT ALL THE TIME!!

What IS Money?

Man Alive! There was a time when I just spent money as fast as I had it.

Why?

I think it had something to do with not understanding what money was.

I used to think that it was created to be spent, and it didn't matter what it was spent on, but as long as I didn't have it- it was ok.

Maybe it had something to do with always seeing people around me doing that, or because I had some issues about my skin color! Maybe it was just that I didn't have anyone to tell me what money really is-

It is ENERGY.

The energy of CHOICE.

When you have more money, you have more choices-
everyone knows that, but what you maybe don't know is that the less money you have, the less choices you have.

When you've got it, you can choose your doctors, your education, your friends. When you don't, you are going to the worst places, the worst people, and the worst friends. that's right- I said it.

Poor people make WORSE friends because they'll sell you out for enough money! Hell, I'd trade you in right now! - just kidding.... (well, wait- how much?) but you know what I mean.

Poor people do NOT go to the best doctors, and they don't get to go to the best schools. If you start to think of money as energy, and choice energy, then maybe those new sneakers won't be so cool.

Or maybe buying that STUPID ASS ringtone won't be so alluring.

Now, don't get me wrong- if you want these things, then great, but I just want you to realize that you are taking away from some of your other choices, or rather that if you want that, and the same choice, then you should make more money.

There is enough money in the world for everyone, just as there are enough choices for everyone, but some of us squander it. I used to do that all the time, and I can't say that this energy idea came as a flash. It came slowly, as I realized my friends spent money on things that I slowly lost interest in.

Wow- Drugs are a waste of time! I mean, they can be fun, I guess, but they're just not something that you should INVEST IN, y'know?

So, think about that- when you are investing TIME and ENERGY (both are money), make SURE you know where you want it to go.

There's a plague in the world.

In the world of HALO, a game on the XBOX 360, the main
character can fight and overcome amazing odds- including
destroying a planet full of Zombie-like mutants.

However, this plague is invincible.

It's the plague of QUITTING.

Whenever I play HALO online with people from all over the world,
what ruins the game is the inevitable QUITTING of some of the players.

What can begin as a challenging 4-on-4 deathmatch can quickly deteriorate
into a boring 2-on-4 stompfest.

Boring for the 2, and REALLY boring for the 4.

And it's because of PANSY-ASS, NO GUTS-HAVING, QUITTERS.

You can't have a good game when people quit before it's over.
The winners don't feel like winners, and the losers feel cheated.

IF YOU QUIT DURING A GAME, YOU SUCK.

And of course, this is not just about HALO, but about anything-
including the game of life- so many people quit before the game is over;
It's no wonder that people have trouble being happy.

You either WIN or you LEARN, but when you quit, you LOSE.

Tough as MORTAR...

Last week I invited one of my customers to TheMoneyMakingParty.com, and she immediately got angry with me:

"All you guys do is promote stuff, and then never help anyone, and then I spend all
this money, and never make anything!"

Well, I was a little taken aback.

"You're ALL SCAMMERS" she said.

But instead of explaining what "Personal Responsibility" meant, I decided to dig a little deeper.

Turns out that she had just bought some "Ebay business marketing package" for $3700 and she was very frustrated. She said that it came with loads of info, but it was too much to digest, and with what she did, she had not made any money at all.

I asked her a bunch of questions, and it sounded like it was a good deal, with a lot of info, but just too much for her to handle.

I then asked her what she did with the product she bought from me for $57.

$3643 dollars less.

She had created a site about smoothies and health products, but really hadn't made any money with that either.

She sent me to the site, and I could see why.

She had done the EASIEST thing to do with my system, which of course SO MANY others had done, so the competition was knocking her out. She couldn't make any money because other people were doing what she was doing, but doing it BETTER.

So, I asked her some more about herself.

At first she got mad and angry when she told me that she has spent a ton of money on work-at-home things- which she called "scams"- but had never turned a profit.

I asked what else she did.

And that's when she said it.

I laughed and had to ask her again.

She said it, and I had to ask for clarification.

She said "Well, I have a hobby of creating mortar garden fountains by hand"

She BUILT FOUNTAINS BY HAND??

Not only that, but she made them for her friends and neighbors. She loved doing it, and she often went to the store to find different rocks and stones to build them.

SO I asked her the $1 MILLION dollar question:

"If you can do THAT, why on EARTH are you making Websites about SMOOTHIES?"

"..." was her answer.

I told her that what she was doing was a skill that people would LOVE to learn.
Not only that, but they would PAY HER to teach it.
MOREOVER, they would buy books about it, dvds about it, and live advice.
They would even hire her to make them and have them sent.
Then I gave her my BEST secret about what she should do with it.

I explained that THIS is where her business should be.

Mind you, this phone call was almost an hour long, and she got my time for free.

I explained to her how she could use some of the ideas and techniques in the system she got from me to implement her MORTAR FOUNTAIN business.

On top of that- I told her how she could use what she learned in the $3700 course on Ebay for selling her fountains and her skills on Ebay.

She was excited.

I could hear her breathing go from shallow angry breaths to deep, fast breaths.
I could tell her head was swimming with possibilities.

I told her how she could make a TON of money doing what she loved, and that all she had to do was apply what she had spent all this time learning.

I could hear her smile was reaching from ear to ear.

Then she said it.

Bomb #1:

She said "But I don't know anyone who's interested in that"

I told her- "you are- and you cannot be the only one. That's what the internet is FOR- to FIND people who have your passion for the same thing"

Then she said another:

Bomb#2:

She said "But I couldn't describe how I do it in a book"

I told her- "Sure you can, and you can have someone interview you about it, and you can just talk. You can create ANYTHING around it."

Then she said another. And another. And another.

EXCUSES that were really just her fears.

I had to raise my voice at her!

I told her that HER WEALTH was right in front of her right now, and she was CHOOSING to fail before she even got started.

She recognized it, and smiled big.
Took a deep breath, and said words I LOVE to hear:

"Bones, you're right!"

Hahaha! Jackpot!

She told me she would think about what I said, and maybe get started.

I was thrilled and excited because I was able to help someone who started the conversation by calling me a scammer, and help her find EXACTLY what would make her happy and wealthy.

I even told Laura this story later that day, and I have been thinking about her for a week.

I decided to call her today to see how she had fared, and if I could help her-
Just 'cuz I'm a good guy like that.

Y'know what?

She had done NOTHING.

NOT A THING.

She told me that she couldn't make a dvd because she didn't have a digital camera.

Oh well.

Another one bites the dust.

At least I know now that it was HER ALL ALONG.

I wish I had a happy ending for this story, but right now, it's just dead.

I certainly hope she chooses differently, and it got me thinking about in what way do I refuse success?

Actually, I think I already know the answer to that.

I gotta go now- I have to go call Steven Spielberg!

Today, I got paid for a "LAW and ORDER SVU" episode that I shot- THREE YEARS AGO!!

Yeah, so I did it three years ago, (I said three words) and I got paid when I shot it, when it played, when it's played in syndication, and apparently a few more times.

I LOVE residual income!!

A WEIRD Business

MLM is a weird business; it's actually the REVERSE of a regular retail business-

In Retail, you mark up whatever product as it travels through the distribution channel; ie. the Maker charges the wholesaler, who charges the retailer, who charges the customer.

But in MLM, everyone pays the same price, and then the maker pays OUT from the volume of profit.

It's backwards.

And yet, as far as OWNING an MLM business goes, it's kinda the same. Even though we are actually selling the SYSTEM of business, you could think of it as looking for customers for the product OR the system, and whoever spreads the product the best, gets paid the best.

So, having an MLM business works for the guy who has a SUIT, and BUSINESS CARDS, and it also works for the guy who is in a T-shirt and writes down stuff on napkins-

ESPECIALLY in this internet world.

At least, that's what I think right now.

"Mining the Miners"

I am NOT a big fan of Mike Dillard, or any of the "Internetwork Marketers / E-Book Sellers" crowd. It's no that the info is bad, it's that there's only a certain amount of duplicability in what they teach, and they are ultimately getting rich with things that only work for extremely few.
